Welcome to Anapay! This Privacy Policy explains how Anapay collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our services.

We only collect information required for identification, bank payment initiation, and security. We never share your contact information (email or phone number) with the other party when you make a payment. Anapay does not sell products or services; it only facilitates payment initiation between users and their banks.

1. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to provide our payment initiation services:

  • Personal Information: We collect your name, phone number, and email address. This information is required for account creation, identity verification, and to facilitate secure payment transactions.
  • Transaction Information: We collect information related to payment transactions, including transaction amounts, timestamps, and payment status. This is necessary to process payment initiation requests between users and their banks.
  • Website Analytics: When you visit our website, we use Google Analytics to collect anonymized information about your visit, including pages viewed, time spent on pages, and how you arrived at our website. This helps us understand how visitors use our site and improve user experience. Your IP address is anonymized before being sent to Google Analytics.

We do not collect location data. Our app uses Bluetooth technology to discover nearby users for peer-to-peer payments, but we do not access, collect, or store your device's location information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • To validate your phone number and email address and ensure account security.
  • To facilitate payment initiation between users and their banks through our payment initiation service provider (PISP) functionality.
  • To direct you to licensed third-party service providers for identity verification (KYC) when required for certain transactions. These providers operate independently and process your information according to their own privacy policies.
  • To provide and maintain our services, including customer support and technical assistance.
  • To notify you about important changes to our services.
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or security threats.
  • To analyze anonymized website traffic through Google Analytics to improve our website and user experience.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website, including:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use our website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address, which is anonymized) will be transmitted to and stored by Google. Google uses this information to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. You can opt-out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Cookie Consent: We use a cookie consent banner to obtain your consent before placing non-essential cookies on your device. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time.

For more information about how we use cookies, please see our Cookie Policy.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share minimal personal data with licensed service providers only to the extent necessary to initiate payments, verify identity, or maintain secure operation of the service. Specifically:

  • With Licensed Service Providers: We share only the minimum necessary personal data (name, email, phone number) with licensed third-party service providers for identity verification (KYC) and fraud prevention. These providers are required to comply with applicable data protection regulations and operate under strict confidentiality agreements. We only share data when it is necessary for a specific transaction that requires KYC verification.
  • With Payment Processing Partners: We share transaction information with your bank and our payment initiation service providers to facilitate payment processing. This is necessary for the core functionality of our service.
  • With Analytics Providers: We share anonymized website usage data with Google Analytics. Your IP address is anonymized before transmission, and no personally identifiable information is shared with Google Analytics.
  • For Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or in response to valid requests by public authorities, but only to the extent legally required.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing or any other purposes.
